The project ”-----” addresses a scalability issue in the overall Web3 ecosystem, since developing this new technology requires English language skills — not strictly, but those lacking proficiency in this language are very limited in terms of available information. To bring the technology to more places and reach a larger community overall, we want to facilitate, decentralize, and reward its study. We also address a social impact issue, since the current educational system in Latin America has limited reach, investment in education is difficult to make a significant impact, and generally the incentive to learn is not sufficient.

Narrative

The idea was born from the need for education that is achievable for everyone, that generates incentives to engage with it, and that Web3 technology can break barriers that exist today. Currently, 12.5% of Latin America’s population speaks English — about 75 million people out of 662 million. The current situation paints a picture in which learning this language is essential for the population if they seek better employment opportunities.

Using Technology to Create an Attractive Ecosystem for Students

Solution to the problem of incentives for English language learning in Latin America

  • Using decentralized chain technology: opens the door to a more accessible and efficient educational system, since it will depend only on internet connectivity and will be free.
  • Offering a variety of resources and approaches: Providing a variety of resources, such as books, apps, videos, and games, can help students find a learning approach that is more interesting and effective for them.
  • Rewards for completing tasks: Users can receive rewards for completing tasks, such as completing quizzes, watching videos, or participating in discussions.
  • Rewards for participating: Users can compete for rewards in classes, such as grammar exercise competitions.
  • Rewards for recommending the DApp: Users can receive rewards for recommending the DApp to their friends, a token referral system.

AI Development

This tool is essential in any Web3 project to remain competitive, as everyone now implements it. In this case, the best use of AI would be to add part of the dApp’s own value — the creation of simple and specific (personalized) content for students will be a tool for practicing in a more natural way.

IDEA

  • The other part of the dApp’s value would come from users who, through use and promotion of the app (referral system), will grow the community. I think that for students to earn rewards (and not just anyone who already knows English and wants that reward), rather than passing a course or exam, I like the idea of requiring them to spend hours in the dApp — meaning they must spend time in the app to earn their reward. That’s where the project’s value lies. The incentive to learn English for the sake of learning it is very strong, and if the content were “free” (i.e., AI-generated), the app’s value would come from users and their rewards, adding more value.

  • Have a chatbot that chats in basic English.

Using Web3 Tools to Address This Problem in Mexico

  1. Leverage Artificial Intelligence: Implement AI technologies to personalize each child’s learning experience. This will allow adapting content and exercises to each participant’s individual needs, making it more attractive and effective.
  2. Foster interaction and collaboration: Create spaces for interaction and collaboration within the platform where children can practice the target language with other participants. This can include discussion forums, chat rooms, or group activities.
  3. Offer playful and challenging activities: Design interactive games and activities that use AI to provide immediate feedback and motivate children to keep learning. These games can include challenges, competitions, and achievements that allow them to earn digital crypto-assets.
  4. Provide tracking and recognition: Track each child’s progress and recognize their achievements through digital certificates or special badges. This will give them a sense of accomplishment and motivate them to keep participating.

Action Plan: dApp Development

dApp MVP Features

  • User registration: Allow users to register on the platform using a personal account or by creating a new account. (KYC Process)

  • Language selection: Provide users with the option to select the language they want to learn within the platform. (primarily focused on English)

  • Basic content: Implement multimedia guides (videos, text, exercises) with basic English content. This step requires the team to create the content and make it available to students.

  • Reward system: Implement a reward system based on digital crypto-assets, allowing users to earn and redeem these assets for prizes or special benefits.

  • Possible reward ideas:

Receive fungible or non-fungible tokens upon completing effective hours within the application.

Create a referral system so users earn tokens for referring new users.

Students can receive tokens upon completing exercises, such as grammar exercises.

  • Interaction and collaboration: Create spaces for interaction and collaboration where users can practice the target language with other participants, such as discussion forums and chat rooms; the app can use videoconferencing software.

  • AI feedback: Create a bot that speaks English with people who only know the basics of English; a set of rules must be defined for the bot to follow when generating responses. These rules can include rules about grammar, vocabulary, and style.

  • User experience: Basic and functional

  • Digital certificates: Award digital certificates or special badges to users who reach certain milestones in their learning, providing recognition and additional motivation.

These features would be part of the dApp MVP (Minimum Viable Product), which would serve as a proof of concept for using technologies like Artificial Intelligence and digital crypto-assets in language learning.
