Varathon
Deliverables
- App template for Vara: This template will facilitate deploying applications on Vercel, addressing the current difficulty of connecting the front-end with the Vara back-end. A combination of Next.js for static content and the Gear Foundation template (React + Vite) for the dApp will be used.
git clone https://github.com/Web3Schola/Scaffold-VARA- Modular framework for Web3 education: This is the core of the Schola application.
Framework Features
- Framework, not just courses or quizzes: The tool will allow creating courses and quizzes.
- Modular: Schola components (quizzes, courses, etc.) can be easily embedded in any web page, similar to a YouTube iframe. User progress will be recorded on the blockchain.
- Learning and assessment: The framework will support both knowledge acquisition and evaluation/accreditation. The possibility of setting an expiration for certificates will be considered, reflecting the evolution of technologies.
- Web3: The application will be ready for the next generation, incorporating AI capabilities, being platform-agnostic, and having a decentralized component.
Funding Needs
Schola has the potential to be a massive on-chain application, but requires resources for:
- Engineering team: Expanding the team to develop and maintain the application.
- Infrastructure: Setting up continuous integration and delivery environments.
- AI: Acquiring OpenAI credits to incorporate artificial intelligence features.
- Sales: Building a sales team to offer certificates and establish partnerships.
- Other: Covering hardware costs, servers, and team compensation.
